Meet Dave Richards, owner of Cozy Creek Custom. What drives Dave is Satisfying people’s Needs. In other words, fixing your problems, which comes in handy when working with older homes. Helping people is just what makes him tick. If you are familiar with ‘Love Languages’, Dave shows his love from ‘Acts of Service’. It’s the energy that he needs to recharge his batteries. Combine Dave’s ‘People Pleasing’ values with his wide range of skills he has learned through some key Mentors in his life and you will understand why Dave is the guy you want on your next construction project. As one of Dave’s best friends will attest, “What can’t Dave do? He’s the guy who, even in high school, had the skill sets of a retired 70-year-old!”. Not only is Dave capable of high-quality craftsmanship, but he is also going to find the best solution and get the job done the right way. Because at the end of the day he isn’t happy unless he knows he has done the best possible job for his clients.
Dave is a hard act to follow but I’ll give it a shot. I’m Jody, Dave’s wife and office manager. While Dave is the one fixing things, I’m the one who specializes in ‘demolition’ which means I’m stuck in the office other than occasional runs to the lumber yard and dump. With 20 years of real estate experience, specializing in new construction, I am very familiar with the jobsite and what it takes to keep the contractor in check! These days I manage the website, I manage Dave’s calendar (a nearly impossible feat), I manage to invent new curse words when dealing with QuickBooks (enter ‘demolition’), and hopefully I have managed to write an ‘About Us’ page titled 'Satisfying People’s Needs’ without it sounding like an ad for a Dating website. I’ve been told Sarcasm is NOT one of the ‘Love Languages’ but I do know that sense of humor is the spice to life and a lot is needed when you work with your spouse!
